Rolling on the River

MEREDITH & RICH - JUNE 2, 2012 - GLEN FOERD MANSION
Along the Delaware river is a section that has historic mansion built during the industrial heyday of Philadelphia with expansive grounds that join up right to the rivers edge providing a fairytale background for a wedding.
Glen Foerd Mansion is just one of these magnificent places.
Meredith and Rich utilized the amazing grounds for a pre-ceremony photo shoot allowing Cathie from
BG Productions to capture some amazing images.

Silver Sound provided the remote sound for the ceremony riverside along with the string quartet
as Meredith and Rich exchanged their vows with a gorgeous backdrop of the peaceful Delaware river and flowers by Darlene of Precious Petals.

Post ceremony the guests were treated to a fabulous cocktail hour inside the mansion before being seated for dinner in the dining room with remote sound for dinner music and toasts. The spectacular meal was provided by the amazing staff of Conroy Catering the exclusive caterers at Glen Foerd.
Following dinner the guests were invited out to the observatory for the remainder of the festivities. They were treated to a beautiful visual presentation of the Observatory uplight with 18 uplights provided by Silver Sound Entertainment around the room in blue transforming the room into something quite unique.
Meredith and Rich were announced into the room and did their first dance to "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson. After some dancing the attention was turned to the cutting of not one but two cakes. The wedding cake and a special groom's cake.

The ladies were then invited to slip out of their heels into some more comfortable shoes as all proceeded to dance the night away and leave some special memories for the bride and groom via a photobooth.
All the best to Meredith & Rich it was an outstanding honor to be part of your special day!

Battle Grounds

EILEEN & MICHAEL - MAY 27, 2012 - HISOTRIC WAYNESBOROUGH

Pennsylvania is rich in history, and the picturesque setting of Historic Waynesborough is not just an important place in the battle for independence but a magnificent setting to hold a wedding.

The Historic Waynesborough House and Museum  managed by Jeffery Miller Catering provides a magnificent backdrop for an unique wedding location. Eileen and Michael started their special day by having the ceremony on the grounds of Historic Waynesborough with remote sound and a soundtrack of hand picked music by several acoustic guitar artists.
After the ceremony guests were treated to an outdoor cocktail hour complete with a hand picked soundtrack from Eileen and Michael.
After Cocktails Eileen, Michael and their bridal party were announced into the tent to "For Once in  my Life" by Stevie Wonder to much applause followed by their first dance to "Oh it is Love" by Hellogoodbye.
After an amazing Memorial Day BBQ buffet style menu the dancefloor was opened and Eileen, Michael and guests danced the night away.

I also had the pleasure of working again with my friends Matt and Lauren at Morrissey Photo and thank them for the additional great images.

Secret Garden

 SEANA & STEVEN - MAY 11, 2012 - WYNDHAM GARDEN EXTON
Believe it or not there is a hotel nestled in Chester County with quite the secret garden out back for wedding receptions. The hotel is the Wyndham Garden in Exton which has a unique wedding oasis  complete with ceremony area and tented reception facilities.

This was the setting for the wedding of Seana and Steven's ceremony and reception.

Working at the Wyndham Garden is always a pleasure, getting to work with long time industry associate Noreen Gilbert and her friendly staff.  With outdoor remote sound for the ceremony and music selections by Vitamin String Quartet and the soundtrack from Braveheart
Seana and Steven exchanged their vows on a gorgeous afternoon in the beautiful setting.

After the ceremony all the guests retired pool side for cocktails before moving into the tent
for a summer eve reception.
The Bridal Party was announced into the tent to LMFAO's smash hit "I'm Sexy and I Know It" Seana and Steven danced their first dance to "Never Gonna Be Alone" by Nickleback. After the elegant buffet Seana, Steven and guests danced the evening away under the the chandelier lit tent.

A very special thanks to my new industry associate Kevin Kramer from Kevin Kramer Photography

NANCY AND MARK - MAY 12th - HARRY'S SAVOY

It never fails that some of my favorite events of my DJ career so far have taken place in Delaware.
Nancy and Mark's wedding was another of these great events to add to the roster.  Harry's Savoy is a great facility with staff that is second to none.  Upon arrival I found that I had the pleasure of seeing dear industry friend Tom Covello from Celebrations Design Group, a very talented florist.  We loaded into the ballroom ready to transform it into a room perfect for having a ceremony.  With pillars, uplights and beautiful chair covers the scene was set for Nancy and Mark to tie the knot.
After the ceremony while guests enjoyed cocktail hour the room was transformed again into a vast and elegant setting for the reception with more exquisite florals from Tom and his staff whilst I set up to be able to provide an evening of great music to keep the guests dancing.
As the bridal party was introduced to U2's "Where the Streets have no name" the anticipation built for the entrance of the bride and groom.  Nancy and Mark were introduced to the classic "Hot in Herre" by Nelly and a standing ovation from the guests.  Once all had settled Mark took Nancy's hand and danced their first dance together to the duet "It's your Love" by Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill.
Post dinner hour the dancefloor was a hotspot of action from start to finish with a special high point
of both the bride and groom being hoisted into the air, followed by a huge group hug and the final song of the event "Take me Home tonight" by Eddie Money.

A very special thank you to the staff at Harry's and to my new friends Jason and Ella at Putsche Photography for the great images.

Going to The Dogs

Once in a while a wedding I work on strikes such a unique chord with me that I still feel the high from doing it for months to come.  Larah and Lou's wedding was one of those events.  Being a dog owner and lover myself I found the personal touch of including their furry ones into the the wedding priceless.  Both dogs had matching wedding attire on while they carried the rings up the isle during the ceremony to the guests accolades of delight.  I even got to meet the furry couple afterwards during cocktail hour for a belly scratch and a few wet nosed kisses.

The Setting at the General Warren is one of historic quaintness and a selection of food that is delicious.

Musically the evening was planned by the couple working closely with me to pair the right selections of music together containing a mix of upbeat hits from Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Africa and more.  Dinner hour was a mix of selections from the top 100 love songs from the last 20 years.  After dinner the bridal party was lined up and announced into the room to "I gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas, followed by Larah and Lou walking into "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch" by the Four Tops.  Larah and Lou then danced their first dance as husband and wife to "Then" by Brad Paisley.  One we got under way on the dance floor Larah, Lou and guests danced the evening away.

A very special thank you to Tony Duca from Duca Studios for the great images one of the greats in the industry and always a pleasure to work with.

Lisa Cimino & Albert Mauriello
Penn Oaks Country Club
Saturday, March 3, 2012

On a beautiful March Saturday I had the honor of entertaining the clients of my good industry friend
Angela Malicki. Lisa and Albert were such an amazing couple with a great bunch of guests that were ready to party from their arrival. The cocktail hour was held in the tented rear porch while a mix of custom picked cocktail music played. Upon entering the ballroom post cocktails the bride, groom and guests were treated to the vision of a magnificently uplight ballroom in royal blue light to match the brides selected decor and bridesmaid dresses.

With grand fanfare the bridal party was introduced to Club Can't Handle me Now by Flo Rider and David Guetta followed by the a standing ovation and some jersey fist pumping as Lisa and Albert entered the room to the smash hit by LMAFO - Party Rock. Once everyone settled down Albert took Lisa's hand and they dance for the first time as husband and wife to the classic by Bryan Adams - Everything I do. With a wonderful blessing followed by one of the best toast from the Best Man that I have heard in a long time attentions were turned to the delicious meal. During dinner a mix of classic tunes from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and more was played.  The dancefloor was officially opened with the dances of father/daughter and mother/son, with Lisa and her dad dancing to the classic waltz from the movie The Godfather. The dancefloor instantly filled to the brim and all danced till the end of the evening.
